GM techs? clutch question
GM techs? clutch question
hey, how long does the factory service manual list for a clutch job in a 2.2/2.4?
the dealer quoted me at 750 worth of LABOR!!!!!!!!
at their 89 bucks an hour, that's 8.4 hours, i don't think so.
so, does anyone know how long the official time is?

looking it up on alldata, yea it lists standard labor time at 8.4 hours. i havent worked on a cobalt yet, but with a full subframe to pull, it takes a while to do a clutch job.
God damn! There's some place north of 60 that replaced my mother's flywheel in her van & it was like 800-900 including parts & labor... I will ask her tomorrow about it... I hope it gets better for ya... if that's possible.
well, it looks like i'm going to be spending a day or two on the floor of my garage.... i'm not spending that kind of money just to be lazy.
