well we have to show some kind of desire for it otherwise they will not want to make it at all.

i know everyone wants it, i wanted it when i had my 2.2 and still think it would be cool for you guys. but at the same time, the guys that program hp tuners pretty much told us it's never going to happen. for a computer that is only in very few cars for a very short time, and the car is considered an "economy" car not a performance car, they're not going to do it. you would need HUNDREDS of dedicated buyers with deposits before they even considered attempting to work on the car. it takes a lot of money to go into r&d especially with these kinds of things. and now that the e16 is no longer in other cars, that really brings the odds down.

i'm not saying this to be a dick, or rain on people's parades, but we've been flat out told it will never happen. my suggestion is to try out other avenues. maybe you'll have better luck that way.

D4 YOU DICK ! haha just kidding

Yeah hes right they have told us basically its a no. However, SCT is semi-working on it and I beleive Diablo is also. It will come around eventually. Atleast things are coming out for us already. Look how long it took the j-bodies to get any type of tuning at all. Were making lots of progress as it is. Just going to have to sit back and relax a little.

Or just go buy a SS/SC or a SS/TC (when it comes out)

haha... just sying, because maybe people didn't see that thread it was a while ago. it wasn't "if there's enough interest we'll do it" it was "it's not giong to happen. it's not worth the time to crack a ecm for a car that is not being made anymore. there's other cars that are worth the time, the 2.2 cobalt is not"

Yeah I know exactly were your coming from. I also knew/lost hope in HPT doing anything for the 2.2 for 05-06. But I can still hope SCT or Diablo does something. If not...08 SS/TC here we come and or a truck haha, we'll see. I'll keep my fingers crossed. haha

not likely. you can use the aem or the smt-6 which is what most f/i 2.2's are running. superchips is supposedly working on something, but i don't know anything about it or even what it does. i know a few peeps are excited about it though

I know you were. And you (like me) knew that you would not see the light for a long while lol. So again that is most likely why ill will be switching cars in 08.

However, if by some miracle HPT did come through that would be ******* great!!!!
