Unhappy Cobalt = money pit

I'm suddenly in a state of depression...
I'm the guy who crunches the cash numbers before, during and after modifying or restoring a vehicle.

Well... I just learned (from my handy spreadsheet), that I've spend over $5000 on that car in mods. Most of that stuff hasn't even seen the car yet.
The part that is even worse... is that I plan to spend at least another $2k before I start my winter build.

Maybe... lets make this a poll..
Is the Cobalt/Pursuit/Ion your biggest car related money pit?

I know my truck didn't drain this much out of me... And I fully restored it; paint, interior, motor, tranny, etc.

for sure. modding gets into you, i have barely started, (stage 2 kit, GMPP exhaust, CAI, projector headlights, sportlines, hurst shifter) and i can already tell this is just the beginning. all the next mods for me will be traction mods, but i'm even spending money i dont have yet on parts. at least the stage 2 kit and exhaust were worked into the payments, so i didnt have to hand any cash over at the time.

Could not have said it better. I have never totalled up what I have spent on my car in modifications, but I am sure it several thousand dollars. I don't care though. A true car guy gets enjoyment out of the changes made and doesn't worry about the money spent becuase it made him happy doing so. Do you think women worry about how much money they spend on shoes an purses?? Absolutely not! They just buy them because it makes them happy.

I've put a lot of money into it, but I love everything I've done; so it's not a money pit to me

I can drive around on snow too--cheapie 17" Konig rims that were on sale with Yokohama Ice Guard tires. Blizzaks would work for you too. I get around rather well in winter.
