If you call MacMaster (parts/accessories I'm not sure if the service dept. will know) they had rims in stock for the SS so I would hope they know what vehicle they were from which could help guide you in the right direction. I can't remember exactly what my service tech. said when I placed the order for mine but we were discussing the SS for a bit.

AS long as it is a 5x110 pattern and no smaller than a 16inch rim, all will work. So yes, they should fit.

haha I called to ask them and they told me 15 inch would fit on an SS

to top it off they insist they are throwing some 15" rims on one of the London SS's early next week ...everyone with an ss knows that this wont happen because of a brake clearance... so Perma if you talk to any of the London owners inform them of this problem

which brings me to my dilemma ...McMaster has Malibu max rims on special 16X6.5 for 65$ a piece but they cant find wheels that wont mess up my speed and ODO ...they are insisting they wont reflash either ...

a 205/55/15 tire is pretty close to the same diameter

alot of the j-body guys run 225/40/18's and the ss is a 215

im not sure if there is a tire size caculator here , but i know on j-body.org there is 1 , and it helps pick tire size that will work for you

here is the page it is on - http://www.j-body.org/library/tire.php

you cant get a 15 inch rim on a SS/SC cobalt becasue of brake clearance so getting a 15 inch tire on a 16 inch rim is going to be a chore

For 16" on an SS/SC 205/60/16 is as close as you can get to the stock diameter. It's only 1/10" bigger.

Good to hear you got everything worked out and the price is definitely nice on the package...I paid nearly $150 more overall taxes in for mine. They managed to match mine within the 3% margin (I believe the diff is +1% larger) so hopefully this doesn't throw anything out too much. As for the 15s on the SS I know the service consultant I dealt with (Jamie) mentioned he sold 16" rims and I believe the X-Ice to a London SS owner, I'm wondering if this was Frenstall since he mentioned a while ago he was going there for his tires. When trying to pick rims for mine you should have seen the look of shock on the parts/accessories reps when I said my LS came with 16s stock...one of those times I wish I had a camera .

My LS came with the Michelin MXV4+ which was a 205/55-R16. The tires were a little slick in the summer in rainy conditions so I figured they wouldn't get any better as the weather got colder, the rubber seems to be really hard. On the other hand I almost had a **** when I took a turn this morning on the dry pavement and started sliding into the other lane...I really gotta let up on the throttle with the winters on!

EDIT: Hell that calc. did the trick I'm within 0.45% on diameter so if anything I'm going about 1/2 a km too slow.
