2.2 Intake issue..

the stoke air intake on my 2008 Cobalt LT looks like the computer is hooked up to it how do i get aroudn taht if I want to throw a new aftermarket intake on it? any piece of information would be helpful thanks!

post a pic and we can probly help, if you're talking a bout the sensor that goes into pipe between the filter and the massive cover its just the maf sensor. if not a pic is needed

yea, i would assume you're talking about the m.a.f. any aftermarket intake would have the connection for that. but post pics so we can see for sure. i havn'et seen an 08 engine yet.

i recommentd unpluggin the negatie battery terminal, just to make sure and be on the safe side... idk about the 08's but on my 07 all there was to disconnect was the MAF sensor.... pics needed dude

most likely he's talkin bout the MAF, but i havent seen a 08 yet, i need to go raid the dealer to see one...but if it has 2 phillips screws holding it in, than its the MAF sensor, you can unscrew it, than takeit out, and put it on the new intake, the new one should have a adapter welded on already,than just re-screw it, and ur set, also dont forget to unplug ur battery, to reset the fuel maps and ****...

It is the MAF sensor and IF you purchase a name brand intake like Injen or K&N they will have this port on the intake to re hook the sensor up to.
