Weather Strip conditioner?

This isn't really a problem (yet anyway!) and it's sort of a general question - so I think I'm posting it in the right place...

I'm just wondering what, exactly, everyone/anyone uses to condition the rubber weather stripping that seals your doors when shut. I know after a while this stuff can dry out, become brittle and crack. I believe this conditioner type product also prevents "sticking" in the winter due to melted ice/snow.

I was told there is something that you can coat/wipe on these areas to keep them in good condition (instead of having to replace them down the road).

What, if anything, are you using?

Is there anything highly recommended (brand names so I can easily find them) - or in turn - any product you should stay away from?

Appreciate the help!

There is an actual GM part number for the lubricant that is supposed to be used on it. It should be in your owners manual. If its not, then call your local dealerships parts department.
