Tire Air Pressure Gauge?

Apparently the 2008 aveo's have tire pressure sensors that let you know when your tires air pressure has dropped below a certain point. does anyone know if this is a feature (standard or optional) on 2008 cobalts? and the big question i have is if the aveo has this feature will the late year ss/tc cobalt have it? i sure hope so

Would it tell you what the pressure is in each tire, or does it just ding continously when one or more is low?

TPS IS GAY!!! i work at a chrysler dealer, everytime the temp drops, the lite comes on and people cant fill up their own tires. More **** to break and the chrysler ones cost 47.00 each. If you cant tell your tire(s) are low, you dont deserve a license. PS thank you firestone, this is all your fault!!!!!!!!

its standard on all 08 gm vehicles. it sucks because it pays 3 tenths to program all 4 and it takes about 15-20 minutes to do =\ has to be done everytime you rotate the tires and whe only get 4 tenths to rotate tires

WAIT!!!!!!!!! you get paid to do that?!!! Thats bullshit!! we dont. But we get 3 tenths to do ours. To program new ones, you just need to drive the vehicle for 10 minutes above 15mph without stopping. They automaticly change after a rotate

we have to whip out the old tech 2 and program each one. they are sensitive and if they havent been driven they "go to sleep" to save power and have to be driven 10 miles to "wake up" stupid design

3/10s of an hour which is about 18 minutes

my 99 alero had this feature, i f*in hated that sh*t,

if one tire got like 5psi from the other 3 it would set the light off, which is fine
if the light turned off after you filled that one
and if is woulda told you which tire
and if getting the light to go off wasnt a pita

how is it firestones fault?

But i know what you mean about people being stupid, i work at a tire store, and peeople need to learn how to work their own cars. People always ask me how to get the tpms light off and the oil change light off, i always tell them to look in their owners manual.

Do you remember when all those explorers were flipping over due to under inflated Firestone tires seperating? That is the whole reason Tire monitors are available on most cars/trucks. Going to be a requried thing come 2009

That was fords fault tho they were the ones that put 26 psi in the tires for a smoother ride. There was nothing wrong with the tires, ant tire would blow out with 26psi in it. blame ford for it.

if everyone did their own work you might just be out of a job. i think everyone should know how to get their hands dirty a little bit (change a flat tire, oil change ,change bulbs) but even if they did have the knowledge laziness kicks in. i personally can change my own oil but i choose not to. i work hard all day and it would take me around an hour to do the job. even on my day off im still sore from the day before so i would rather pay someone to do in less than half the time it would take me. watch what you wish for because it could come true.
