Hey guys,

since i got my steelies on and am looking for summer tires for my ss/sc, i just wanted to know wat tire size i can go with.

im new to tires and just had someone explain wat the numbers mean, but my question is... stock tire size is 215-40-18, right....wats the max width i can go for tread?

ive seen one member post that he found 235-40-18's ...can those fit on my stock rims?

Stock size is 215/45/18. You can put 225/45/18, 225/40/18, or 235/40/18 tires on with no problems. I've heard of people running 245's, but I havn't found anyone actually saying they run that size and if they rub. My brother has 245/45/17 winter tires on his SS/SC and they don't rub...but that doesn't mean 245 18's will fit hehe.

i also notice that with the winter tires on, the car is ALOT smoother over bumps...since i lowered it, with my summer 18's i could feel everything, but with bigger tire walls of my winter tires it feels like a normal car....could it juts be the hard-ass perellis i had on? ...if so, then i really cant wait until i get new summer tires !
