Stage 2 + 2.9 First impressions.

First off let me say that I am sorry for the delay in getting my 2.9 on for those of you that have been asking how I like it.

Stage 2 was a hell of a difference when I got it put on. Really was like night and day to me. I already had the exhaust and airbox mod for those wondering (s2 went on 2 weeks ago).

Today I got my 2.9 on and put my BKR7E's in (NGK spark plugs) The first thing I noticed was that everything feels alot more smooth. (I would guess the new plugs are the reason). It cracks me up to watch how fast my boost builds now with the 2.9. If the gas goes to the floor the boost gauge goes right to 15psi and just keeps going up to over 17psi (cold weather ftw, kinda). I really dont like to beat on my car so I only opened it up 2 times 2night out in the country. My first impressions were hmm doesnt feel too much faster. Then I looked at my speedo from 60mph to 80 mph the car pulls every bit as hard as it does from 40-60. The car just rips through 3rd gear, I shut down at 100 and I got there in one hell of a hurry, all I could do was laugh and say to myself, "wow this is freeking nuts". Keep in mind that my last car was a 05 gtp comp G with some bolt on's and it in no way shape or form could touch my cobalt right now above 50mph.

Overall I am very pleased with the results. I can only guess how the car will be with my soon to be ordered vibrant header and DP, along with a heat exchanger.

If you have any questions just ask. I will try my best to answer!

sweet man glad you like it, i got Stage 2 and a 2.9, and then about 2 weeks later got the Vibrant Header and D/P and in my opinion the header gave every bit as much gain as the Stage 2 did, just wait you'll love it!

Plus the header downpipe makes you drop a little boost, making your car a little happier too!

Yea cold weather is a bitch for traction but great for boost .

I was getting on the highway yesterday and went WOT in second at about 40ish and didnt get full traction till the top of second. I wasnt ready for that!
