the shifters change the piviot point , which speeds up the shift , and the distance from the piviot point to the knob is shorter
from what i can tell the 2.2 and 2.4 use the same shifter

What He said...... and make sure you masark the linkage when you remove the old one. it was real easy but took me a while cause it was freeking cold out. And to get the old shift knob off.
2.2 and 2.4 cobalts use the same transmission but the shifter is shorter in the 2.4

Once my brother told me thet for his car a SE-R spec V, B&M was the first to launch on the market a short-shifter, and that it had some defects, caused problems on the gearbox, and had to make a recall and pay damages.. so the question is...
Is our B&M short shifter a band NEW PRODUCT?
Are there any other aftermarket options??
Who is already using the B&M short shifter ???
and the 2,000dlls ... Any trouble with it?
