Just curious how our stock brakes on the 05 SS's compare to some of the aftermarket ones out there. I'm already noticing some nasty grooves on them after 18000 miles. I was wondering if this is due to my driving habits or just the stock brakes arent that great.

I have the same thing, i've heard tats due the chevy putting hard pads on it

 

im thinking that the breaks gm puts on their cars arent the greatest.....i had a '03 malibu that needed break replacements after under 2years of driving......maybe its just the way i drive?

 

Mine have grooves after 1500 miles

 

I've been getting mad squeeking everytime i break since around 8,000 km. Anyone else have this problem? Definitly concidering warranty work. Oh yeah grooves have been there since i baught it.
