They have the metal... they have to have a welder, the have a lift... don't see why they can't. The question is, will they.

Turbo manifold can get HIGH.

The piping from the downpipe and back shouldn't be no more than $200 piping and labor if you supply the other parts.

they can...i had a shop modify my stock muffler and downpipe on my r/t neon and they charged me 120 bux for everything...perfect welds and everything...installed 2.5" turbo-back piping, cut the old cat off,and installed a magnaflow hi-flow cat and welded it on there, and they cut opened my muffler and took out some sound detonating material

Ya Super SS you're talking muffler and exhaust things, building a turbo manifold is not even close to the same thing.
Not just any muffler shop can do that kind of work. You will need to find a custom auto shop. There is a lot to making a turbo manifold not just welding some metal pipping together. A turbo manifold is only as good as its design, meaning if its a bad design by some one who doesn't specialize in that your outcome will be very bad

Or you run into the small town shop here. I asked if he did 3" mandrel bent work and he's like for what kind of truck. Pointed to my car(Sentra back when I was researching for turbo) he's like umm sorry to say it won't fit on that car. I was like well manufacturer's have made 3" kits for these cars I was asking you for your business on this.

Him - ..... -dammit lost a sale-

very true. They would need to have your car for a while so they can make sure the clearances are ok (on a tubular manifold anyway), and it would probably cost an arm and a leg in most cases. Custom made manifolds are never cheap. My uncle has a LeMans that he crammed a 454 into, there are no long tube headers sold for that combination, so he had some made.... He said that it took about 3 weeks, and cost him over $600 (not including the coating he had applied later) and that was about 7-8 years ago.

**edit, he also knew the owner of the shop too, that was a deal price

they should be able to, they just might try to rape you cause its a custom job. however i was once told by an exhaust place, that it is impossible to put duals on a fwd car. so they might not be that bright depending on where you go.

here ill just say this, im doing a turbo swap on my ss/sc, and a custom shop that specializes in this charges 860 to do a "RIGHT" turbo manifold. meaning all mandrel bends, equal lengths, and the thickest steel.

I'm assuming tubular design and not log style. You should get it where you get two tubes to force air at the same time(the same two pistons that move together). Forget the design name. It can be COSTLY though. Only place I've seen it is in the Honda crowd.

you're talking about spliting up the four chambers. 1-4 would be together and 2-3 would be together. That is great an all but then you have to buy a dual scroll turbo with a divided flange. And that's way to costly for me and my cobalt.

Call around. Hell do a search for performance shops in FL or CA and see how much. You know for a fact you'll find them there.

Get a reputable shop though.

For the record, the manifold is not considered part of a turbo back exhaust. Turbo back would be downpipe and the rest of the exhaust.

To answer your question, yes, there are shops that can do this. As for anymore info than that, you're going to have to talk to the specific shop. Rates and abilities vary.
