my family is bitchin at me cuz my car is too loud and i told them i would put the silencer in so it would be as loud, but i just wanna no will it lose HP if i do put it in? i have a catless DP and ARK cat-back. thanks

 

None that you will notice, maybe 0.5hp max. Just put it on it's not gonna hurt and your family can stop bitchin

 

When I put mine in, I felt a HUGE decrease in power. Then again, mine goes from massive exhaust exit point to roughly an inch diameter pipe.

 

why would you ever put a 1" pipe in your exhaust?

 

Its not their car (im assuming) so tell them to deal with it..........

 

yes you will feel a decrease in power but its a tradeoff for a quietier ride.. i felt a decresce in mine f

 

when i use mine i get a decrease in the top end, but a sharp increase in low end power.

 

I didn't. That's how my silencer is.

I have the ARK as well and put my silencer in and i felt major major power loss.

BTW, were you the one wanting to come down with Chris to pick up my intake? I'm interested in hearing your car cause I want to gut my cat

 

What kind of exhaust do you have. I have a GMPP and it sounds great and does not need a silencer.
