Everyone w/ Motor Mounts: VOTE

Okay, I want to hear from everyone that has actually installed motor mounts in their cars. Vote for which mounts you bought and if you'd actually buy them again. Sorry to everyone w/ ZZP mounts, I ruled you out because their price is outrageously expensive. I'm only interested in Bwoody or TTR. Have at it...

Calm down a sec, you have to create the poll after you first submit it.

And the stock trans mounts are cast. I'm pushing close to 290whp, I'm still concerned about how they'll handle it over time...

ima be pushing 360..no problems..u cant depend on tranny mounts for everything theres more to racing (not aiming this at u) then just dumping the clutch and riding it out..feathering the clutch and gas pedal and a engine mount and tranny prothanes with some stage 2 axles and ur golden

and i was joking about the poll..i never got to be the first to post on a poll one and always wanted to say that haha

You bastard.......

I never knew how a poll worked, so I wasn't sure if you knew.

I hear ya about knowing how to drive it and I'm running the stock mounts and an ITD right now pushing that 290 w/o issue. I just know that it's not going to hold up for prolonged use, especially when the track opens up in the spring. I'm curious to see how everyone feels about their decision. I can get the TTR for under $200 right now if the freeship code goes through along w/ my points, which is one hell of a deal.

I had the inserts with a dual torque brace setup and CABs, no wheelhop at all. I added a TTR mount as an opportunity purchase from a local guy selling his car, but it did little more than the braces. I love the effect of the mounts in controlling enigne movement, and you learn to live with the vibraton.

As for replacing the housing, I'll bet money that the stock cast AL housings are plenty strong. They are well designed, I believe that they will be fine for 500+hp. I can't see them being a weak point at all.

I can meet you somewhere......ever go to taffy's for any of the nyspeed meets? Or the mighty taco hang out on Sheridan and eggert in tonawanda? Taffy's is like 30 mins from my house. I actually dont live in williamsville anymore. Or is the galleria mall somewhat close? We could meet there too....I'm not sure how far Albany is....

I just searched on the map thing on my phone and its kinda far.....I could set something up to ship them to you....just have to figure out the payment thing...I dont have paypal....

I'm still figuring out whether I'm interested in them. I'll actually be in Syracuse next weekend, which is halfway between Albany and Buffalo.

I got TTR engine and trans mounts and love them! I think they are way better than the TD I had. I don't mind the vibes. I actually love the feel in the shifter and the pedals as well as the seat, makes it feel more like a bad ass ride!

I just installed my full TTR engine + tranny mounts.

they were nothing like i was expecting.
people had me worrying that it would be insane vibs, but to be honest, there was no interior rattle/buzzing like i expected there to be.

the vibs are more of the feeling of one of those massaging seat cushion, that you can feel in the pedals most of all.
but a bit in the shifter and your ass.

I actually kinda like the feeling, its like your "feeling" the rumble of the engine, as well a hearing it.

I also love that it all but dissapears during cruising, and between 2k-4.5k rpms.

over all very pleased.
everything is insanely solid and stiff.

love it.

Intense cab's wicked. I had the inserts in the trans mounts. Got annoying especially after I took the balance shafts out of the engine.

is it girlfriend rated?

how bad is it when idling for long periods in the traffic? I want to get rid of the hop but I encounter idling far more often than wheel hop so I'm not willing to sacrifice too much comfort.

My vote is Bwoody. Had them on my LSJ all around. Loved them. Vibes will calm down after 3k miles or so. Then you will wonder how you lived so long with a motor/trans that flops so much.

I love the CABs, but I've broken two sets so far, I think they don't like having the car lowered, with sticky tires, and being driven hard all the time. Two sets in less than a year.
