There are a couple great threads on this already man. hit the search you will find them. Some liked it some didnt. Honestly your going to have to try it. And if you dont, im sure someone else would buy it off you. Perhaps if you dont i may buy the kit from someone who didnt like it because i will need the 2.4 manifold here very soon.

See the 07 dyno on crateengiendepot.com. It's based of an 07 2.2, 5 speed with very, VERY light mods and shows about 13hp+ whp gains on the high end. And the kit itself priced around $240 is well worth it I think. I'm gonna put one over the winter. NOTE: This is the manifold kit.

i have the 2.4 mani installed on my 07 2.2 and it was one of the best mods i have done. the loss down low is not that noticable as far as power beacuse i dont really haul ass around town anymore. i say if you have an 07, do it. you'll love it. match it with cai and full exhaust and it is a huge difference from stock. and as far as gas milage i got 2 more miles to the gallon(when im not on it). after the install i had only intake and exhaust. my trap speed increased my a little over .2sec and my et dropped by a tenth... so IMO this is a very good mod for people with an 07.

Check out my gallery for the dyno comparison of before and after the manifold. Pay attention to the mid range torque difference and the top end power. I have an '05.

Sounds all good "409Cobalt07" I also have an 07. What's the deal with some 05-06 people not liking the mod on their ride?

Apparently we have a different tune than the '07s and so we can't take as much advantage with the bigger manifold. On my car, the air velocity was way too low for way to much of the powerband for me to justify keeping it on.

Sorry to hear about that XM15, I just thought we were all gettin the shaft for not buying a 2.4/ 2.0L.
Any specific info on model/ tune differences between model years? Or if any difference between the Cobalt or G5 tuning?
I have an 07 G5, 2.2 5-speed, and haven't run into any troubles or noticed differences as of yet? Except for 07+ wire harness for your stereo, but I could rant forever about that!!!

reason why the 07 have a better increase is becuase they got rid of the crescent in the header and a few other minor changes. so more performance. but any 2.2 with full bolt on will have similar if not same gains. autos also make a differece. i have it and i personally like it. loss isn't that bad at all. and the pull up top realy feels good. my MPG is at 40 so i dnt know how you guys are driving...lol.

That can't be it because when I installed the manifold I had a full exhaust system. The exhaust manifold was replaced with the Vibrant Long tube setup. It has to be in the tune.

I liked the top end power as well for the few days I had the manifold on. The butt dyno can throw you some curveballs however, which my dyno showed me. I made my choice off of the cold hard #'s instead of my subjective feelings about it.

Yeah, they must be stomping on it. I doubt the slightly bigger manifold would make your mpg drop like a rock.

i've been eyeing this on CED and came on here to read about it...with all the mixed reviews I feel like its not really a worth while mod for my 06 LT....since some ppl didn't like it

You can't just post the link without story behind it. Tell the truth about what actually caused the backfire..
