Cool Lower grill...use woven mesh?

I just got a Black SS S/C....not too sure about the wide open lower grill. Kinda want to get some stainless mesh. Anybody have any suggestions as to where to get it? Is the type in the hardware stores to be trused?

How durable is that stuff? Does it tarnish easily?

If i were to go with the pre-cut gutter material, how much of it would I need? It could just fasten with a few zip ties, right?

Does the intercooler really sit that low????

Went to the hardware store the other day and they didn't have the metal gutter gards. They did have some galvinized steel mesh...was 6 bucks for about 50 square feet...anyone use that stuff?

What type of paint should I use? I was looking for some sort of radiator or engine block paint...

mine came from the dealer with the grill attached. if i were you, i'd use rad paint that way it won't get burnt off if the intercooler gets super hot!

i got some stucco wire mesh stuff at home depot. a huge ass sheet for 7$ then a 99cent spray paint. 2$ worth of those little zipties. all at home depot

i made mine, but you can barely see it because the openings arent close enough together, but for now, it keeps stuff out of there so its fine with me until i find some better stuff.

edit: holy old thread batman
