Tuning Question with HPtuners
Tuning problem with HPtuners
OK i am tryign to get my car tuned. But for some reason my HPtuners Pro version says it can not read the car. But i know it can because i have a BIN FILE uploaded before.
Saying it can not read the interface. But it can read the RPM's and other basic stuff. Whats the problem. Because we plugged it up to a Pontiac Bonville and it read fine. Is there soemthing about the Cobalts? At the part where it reads the car and says Complete, Complete, Complete. it says cant read. Like i said i have used it on the car before
Help would be appreciated for those who have had this happen
Thanks

Im just trying to be able to simply tune. It wont let me get to the part to let me start tuning. Only view the basic information. When i click to read the car and computer. it says Can not read
Do you mean that your trying to read the current tune from your car in the editor?
and when you say "basic infomation" your talking about the basic gauge information in the scanner portion of the program right?

its as if the tune is locked in the computer where u cant view it. Its just saying. Can not read vehicle. My car is licensed on it and everything
yeah like as soon as you plug it in and scan. It shows like your RPM and other stuff. Thats all it will show. Thats what i mean by basic information. But it will not show like my AFR or anythign liek that. It says it can not read it.

sorry man, my pm box must have been full.
yeah those are hot ****. really subtle.
a guy near me here with the same hood as me went with those too.
I was looking at a set very similar to those, but they are even in CF to blend in further.
might be makin the switch next summer
(sorry for the hijack)

ok we think we found the problem. Read this guys with problems.
Bill replied back, great customer service, Read this:
Go into your hptuners folder, locate & delete the vcm suite.cfg file.
This is something that ONLY affects cobalt SS's(your luck eh?) lol
Also ensure that your running the latest public version 2.2.0 which can be found on the customer login page.
Thanks,
