What to buy first

I've seen these threads in the past, but I cant seem to find any.

I've got $1,400, I drive an 07 3LT still stock. What should I buy first?

Looking for a max of appearance and power.
Definetly need the lowest springs possible, the wheel gap on these things is horrid.

Just looking for a few opinions

even though i like the look of those hoods, i kinda wanna keep most of the outside stock, if that makes sense. plus i really dont have any place to store a hood for when i eventually sell the car back in a few years

edit: any idea on a rough price for the SS style front fascia painted and shipped?

Springs, intake, exhaust, maybe a bottle in your trunk.

i was thinking n2o also, but 700 for the kit and extras, plus 500 for install and dyno runs ;(

it might be feasable if i installed it myself, but im not much of a mechanic, let me ask some local people about it

Doesn't sport package include high performance tires? Mine did, Michilins, M+S, H speed rating I think. Did they ax this from the sport package?

You may want to give an idea of what you want... if you arent changing the wheels and your not changing the hood.. your appearance choice mods would be a body kit(possibly the RK lip kit) Maybe painting somethings. As far as performance... as was mentioned before.. Intake, maybe the manifold swap with at 2.4, FULL exhaust upgrade...that will take up a good chunk of your 1400(cat back, header, downpipe, bigger cat)

They come with the 16 inch wheels and either Michelins or Pirelli P6's... an ok tire.. but i know i will NOT get them again for running my stock wheels

Well, i'm not sure how much 1400 will get you. I would HIGHLY recommend Injen CAI, and FULL exhaust (not just a cat-back, the real gain is in the full system!) If you go the route i did you will end up spending your 1400 before you know it (if you get the same stuff i did, new) but to me it was completely worth it.

no 3lt comes with the 17s and some goofy chinese 'performance' tire that sucks ass.

im thinking intake, manifold swap, catback (sai, so i cant chance header), springs, and tires?

okay...find out if u have SAI...secondary air injection. if u do...ur stuck like me. u can search it up, and find out what it is. if u have it, no header for u. Stray away from oiled filters...they plug up ur MAF (mass airflow sensor). Get an AEM dryflow filter. No oil = if i were u, i would get, intake (the AEM 150.00), pacesetter header (like 229.99), pacesetter exhaust (199.99), and then eibach sports (i think like 250.00ish) U still have alot of money to play with. Since those r all bolt ons it shouldn't b too hard to install. u should still have like 400 left. Save it for a hood. U'd b pimpin!

So you have the 5 lug wheels?

Mine is a 3lt with the sport package but its an 05 so i have the 16's on pirelli's. If you are keeping the wheels just keep the stock tires until they are done.. spend that money on something else for now... or put them up for sale see what offers u get
