Whats a good beginner mod for a 2.4 ss? obviously an intake would be good, any opinions of which is the best?

if your worried about warrenty issue's with your dealer ship go GMPP.. get the intake, header and full GMPP exhaust. all of which you can put on yourself and not have any warrenty issue's

Lowering springs is a good appearance mod. that's the major issue with the 2.4l. They just sit too damn high. Lower that bitch and she looks like a super star.

STAY AWAY FROM THAT 2.O INJECTOR SWAP AND TUNE BULL ****!!!!! NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE knows how to tune a 2007 2.4. I've tried for months now and wound up with my car being towed to the dealer cause it got fucked up.

DON'T DO IT, DON'T DO IT, DON'T DO IT, DON'T DO IT AND DON'T DO IT!!!!!

The possible gains you recieve are NOT WORTH the bull **** you WILL GET.

As for the rest, header, catback, springs and the like are all perfectly fine.

jack speaks the truth, doing a 2.0 injectors+tune is rediculiously hard, ive talked to a professional tuner in town and he strongly advises to keep the stock injectors in...and you dont need bigger injectors really unless your running forced induction..even with full exhaust/intake/cams you dont need bigger injectors

According to Tune Time we don't ever need the 2.0 injectors AT ALL unless we go with forced induction. They say the GM tune is so pig rich that when you lean it down some the stock 2.4 injectors are plenty!

If your dead set on a tune check out the FEW companies that you can have tune the car. Again NO ONE can do it properly to the point that I would recomend it as a "beginner mod"

Yay, others are listing to what Ive been saying for months, but tuning for the inj's is not that hard really you just got to know how to do it.

To the OP, an intake is an intake...if you do go K&N get a different filter becasue oiled ones mess our MAF up pretty quickly

I've had the original K&N filter on for a while now and had no issues.... (besides...the K&N filter is half the reason the intake is so good. lol
