Post Research on Eibach Anti-Roll Kit

I have not been on this forum long but there has been constant questioning on the availability of the Eibach Anti-Roll kit and have dug something up.

It is this post from about 2 years ago

These sway bar packages are due to be released to us in Mid January. If you're looking for that extra edge in performance handling Eibach has what you need. Teamed up with their Pro kit springs this will definately take the Cobalt to a high level of cornering ability.

Front bar= 27mm

Rear bar= 25mm

Full tilt $$$ is $399.00!

RK Sport price is $325.95

members will receive their usual discount bringing these bars direct to you
for an unheard of low price! (Make sure when you order that you mention COBALT SS.net)

Be one of the first, pre-order yours today!

"RC"

(Sway bar packages come complete with bushings and all hardware needed, general UPS Ground charges run $45 in the Cont. USA, International orders please call for quote)

Now are those numbers right? Is that really a 27mm strut bar?

Also I have asked Ultra Rev if they have them in stock or is it just a preorder like many other places.

Anyone have any info on the whole subject?

Summit Racing has the listing for the Kit but as seperate parts. The front bar is 27mm solid bar. The rear is a 25 mm HOLLOW bar. The stiffness difference front to rear will create undesirable handling characteristics. Optimally you want a ft wheel drive stiffer in the rear. I currently have a 24mm solid front bar and the solid 22mm Progressive rear add on bar. My car displays a little push under throttle so I'm going to try the Progressive 25mm solid bar slated for release in Jan.

Heres the links to Summit

hmm very interesting about the hollow bar in the rear, then I probably don't want to hold off on that. So in this situation would it be a better buy to get the eibach strut or the MRZ strut? With the progress 25mm solid in the rear.

The Eibach is a sway bar the MRZ is a strut bar. If you have an SS/SC then just get the Progress sway for the rear and your choice of Strut tower bar. IF you have an LS or SS then get the SS front bar and Progress Rear or go with the Suspension Technique set up... again with your choice of strut tower bar

I meant such as the setup of having the eibach strut bar in front and the progress sway in the back vs the MRZ in front and the progress in back. Would the SS bar be better then this? https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...&highlight=bar

The Eibach and the MRZ are two different products so im not sure what youre getting at. You could use both the MRZ strut bar and the Eibach front sway if you wanted to with the Progress Rear sway..

As far as the SS vs. The Sub frame bar.. again you are looking at 2 different products. They can be used together to give you a stiffer frame for less body roll better cornering.

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Eibach still does not have a single sway bar released for the cobalt. No one has them, we will be the first to have them as we have been waiting for over 2 years.
