Engine blown, warranty voided

My motor blown last week.....1st dealer tagged me as abuser of my car. 2nd dealer decided to void my warranty. 1st dealer said car abused because my tires are worn down, and accused my of racing....then because of stage 2, I bought at their dealership at the time I purchase the car and had another dealership install at A GM CERTIFIED DEALERSHIP. 2nd dealer said my CAI filter was of, so this supposedly had VOIDED my warranty. I'm confused!

Piston #4 is blown. Since GM will not back their product and the warranty is now voided. I'm thinking of up grading to Intense diamond coated forged pistons, unsure what compression I should consider, standard bore 9:5:1, 10:0:1, or 10:5:1 Also,is there any good rods out there to buy?

If you really wanted too, you can pursue legal action, but IMO I would just buy Diamond pistons and toss them in. Crower is probably the best bet for rods, they finally released theirs.

the only way they can void your warrenty is if one of your mods such as the cai caused the blown eng. i have never heard of them voiding because car was abused???

How many miles on tires? U could say that u never rotated them, therefore the fronts worn down fast. Mine only legally lasted to 20,000 miles with rotation.

1st Dealer accused of abuse without even looking at engine..only because of wear on the tires & age of owner. They contacted warranty dept. to let them know of the vehicle condition. Only has 11,000 miles on an 06'. They said water got in my motor, BUT the could not find any.

Sounds like the Dealership is just trying to get out of paying for it. It's bullshit. If you really want to pursue it, you can go to the SEMA website, contact them and they might be able to help you. Like one of the other replies said, the upgrade has to cause the problem. The intake isn't gonna cause and blown engine. The Stage 2 kit if bought from GM and installed by GM is a GM certified part, it doesn't void the warranty. So I would definitely pursue it. Non of that should void your warranty.

if a dealer found your filter off, your fucked.

and btw, regardless of if you think its "lame" or not, if you worked at a dealership, and saw a kid come in, with mods, a blown engine, and bald tires, you wouldnt cover it either.

like it or not. bald tires on the front, and regular wear on the back is always going to look bad.

Um?

You downshifted to 2nd, floored it too early, and the RPM's went sky high because your clutch was slipping.

I made my conclusion already.

so you just took the cai out? why wouldnt you put the stocker back in?

i work for a dealership, iam not in service i am in sales but i know that the warranty doesnt cost the dealership any $$ so usually they are pretty easy going with the warrantys, they just make sure there covered if they get audited or elese the dealership then gets charged back the $$... did you read your warranty manuel? just see what the guidelines are?
