Drag Radials

Well it's time for tires. So if all goes as planned I'll be driving a company car in the next month or two. The plan is to throw drag radials on the stock wheels. I searched and searched and came up with nothing that fit. Is anyone here running a drag radial on the stockers? I really wanted the BfGoodrich G-force's but they don't make a size that fits. Any help would be awesome.

honestly dont drag on the stock 18's(way to heavy).. get either some nice HHR steelie's (16's)or IRL wheel's.. i sold a set of IRL rim's with g force DR's on em and the guy who bought em LOVES em.. hit's nitrous in 1st gear on his stage 3 balt and get's traction...

I don't want another set of wheels. I don't want to swap. I just want to throw these on there so they are ready to go for the autocross track/street. I do go to the quarter mile track by me, but I want to start autocrossing this thing.

wouldn't you want something that handles lot better in an auto cross rather than a tire that has soft sidewalls?

Yea drag radials... are for the drag strip. If you want to autox, and use stock wheels then use like g-force kdw's or pilots. If you want tires for the strip, you will need smaller front wheels. No if's and's or but's.

^Those fit, but would you want to drive them every day? I wouldn't... and if i were to buy 2 extra wheels that needed tires anyways, they would be 16" steelies and why get those tires then when in that same size I can get some good hoosier slicks or G-force DR's?

I can verify that 16" is as small as you can go. I use Malibu Maxx 16" steelies for winter, and the clearance is about 5mm in the front, and tonnes on the rear. (Stock brakes, 06 SS/SC)

i have 16's on my car right now, and they fit. 15's definitely wouldn't clear the calipers, but 16's do.
