so i just got done installing my new black cat custom guages with the red LED upgrade!

oh and before anyone says anything about the CEL, THE CAR IS OFF!

$121 out the door for the guages. I went out and bought a soldering iron to hook up the new leds. i had no prior experience doin it. took me about an hour to do, granted the cluster was already pulled...

 

next is mine with the led upgrade and candy blue paint upgrade!! blackcatcustoms FTW

 

angelo is gonna have a big ***** on the gage cluster instead of the SS symbol... he told me, thats how i know...

ah not red...I have red stock with my G5 and want to get rid of it sooo bad...lol...Looks good though with the black face.

Mine is being shipped monday. I can not wait for it, i got the white face with blue led's to match the lbm paint! and i'm gettin blue neon lights installed tomorrow inside the car and doin the air box mod tomorrow also. But looks sweet, was the install hard with the led's?

 

nah it was pretty easy, it was even my first time using a soldering iron. i was nervous at first, but turned out to be no big deal.

 

Well i work at a dealership and they said they would do it for free haha lucky me. Is there a switch to turn the led's on? or do they just come on when you turn ur driving lights on when it's dark?

 

you actually remove the stock cluster lights and solder on the new leds where the old ones were. so they come on whenever your lights are on.

 

Cool thanks. Can't wait to get em installed, i'll definently get pics and hopefully it looks as good as yours does. How long did it take from the day you ordered to get yours? Cuz mine has already been over a week and isn't getting shipped till monday

 

i know the custom colors take more time...but they are a great company and IMO have a great turnaround time...your gonna love the product. Just be patient, they are well worth the wait.

 

Well congrats on a job well done and it looks real good. Also lovin ur tail lights too, did you just use nightshade?

 

yeah...nightshades and about 10 coats of clear.

 

i have the same exact set up for the 140mph set with the cobalt as the text...although i need to take it out and fix the leds in the gas gauge...they havnt been working...grrrrrrr.....I love them though!!! AND,it makes it easier to drive...no more tired eyes from the lights, the red doesnt interfere at night at all!!!
