Angry So My Car Got Broke Into...

I feel so ******* violated.

Yeah. Driver Side window smashed and they took my MP3 player and my GPS. I just usually leave em on the center console when i park my car for the night and i guess someone must of seen them and prolly someone who lives in my apartment complex. So i wake up on this fine saturday morning to take a movie back to blockbuster and i go out to my car all nice and happy and my heart drops. i file a police report and told the insurance about it and its gonna cost 200 bucks to fix the window. i didnt even say "oh they stole my subs and my amp and my digitial camera" that didnt exist but those are items id like so i did everything the right legal way and now they are coming monday to fix my window.

So my losses
Window : 213.60
GPS : 250.00
MP3 : 60 bucks

so im down about 520 bucks.

So Note to self, dont leave anything out in the car at all. im leaving it bonestock looking on the inside.

ONTO PART 2

Now i need/want an alarm system. Something good. like i want the little keychain that comes with it that alerts me when my car even feels the slightest vibration. I mean i literally park 20 feet from my door and have a bat ready and waiting. So what alarm systesm do you guys recomend? and i need it installed caz i erally dont wanna **** with all the installation...I found this one at best buy for 300 bucks and it comes with instilation from what ive read...Anyone have any better suggestions? im lookin to spend 200-350

Thanks in advance.

sorry to hear about your losses. I don't keep anything in my car cept for spare change which is hidden in the dash compartment. Now you say you arent going to keep anything in your car anymore so would it really be worth spending 2-300 on an alarm? Chances are nothing is going to happen if you aren't leaving anything in the car, so now you're going to be $700+ in the hole. I would just get a security sticker to put on your side windows.

Well this being true i dont exactly live in teh saffest neighborhood. My buddies new civic got all fucked up, they tried to pop the hood with a screwdriver and couldnt get it so they basicly beat the car with a bat and totally fucked his whole body up. he dont live but 5 mins away.

I never leave anything in plain site in my cars any more. I even put the top club you can buy on the wheel cause I park it down the road out of site. I had a car stolen so yah I know how you feel.

my aunts neighbor down the street from her had ran into a curb with his base model cobalt coupe (it was an 07) w/hubs and went to get the bumper re painted at a body shop and when it was parked there and they went to work on it the next morning someone completly stripped the entire car, fenders, wheels, radio steering wheel, seats, center console, exhaust system, everything! it was a shell. They even took the damaged bumper lawl.. it was in a great neighborhood too so I dunno..

I feel for you though bro it sucks. If I found someone breaking into my car, i'd break there head with my friend louie.

someone tried to steal your antenna?? that's weird... was it a random act of vandalism or another cobalt owner looking for a replacement??

i always put my ipod in the little compartment above my left knee. i leave the adapter out, and i typically leave my radar detector out unless i'm in the city (cause you know... providence ri is such a bad city... lol). but all it takes is 1 person to totally change your day. even at work where there's a security guard, i'll never leave my ipod out.
