Holes in Cobalt Addiction Intake
Holes in Cobalt Addiction Intake
ok first of all i'm not trying to say there intakes are **** or are causing problems just saying what happened for me. anyone also who has an after market intake should also check. I dont know if its because of the materials on the CA intake but it's not as durable as I thought. besides me not realizing the intake was resting on the pcm. besides the heat of the heat sink and the rubbing i got 2 smaller sized holes on the intake nearest the throttle body. the 2nd part of the intake had one hole from rubbing on the metal body of the hole for the intake. everyone should ounce in a while check the two places to make sure they are not getting a hole. this will eventually lead to a CEL due to the car being leaned out. I quick fixed the lower whole bc it was so small with duct tape bc i could not reach my had in to put tape on the inside so i could jb weld it. I also put foam cushioning on it so the rubbing wouldn't be so bad. the top piece i fixed using jb weld and i'll put it back on tomorrow so that it doesn't rub the pcm. just thought i'd post my story so other people might check for problems before it leads to others.
