Hey guys.
Just a quick reference question.
My car is a 2006 Cobalt SS. Thus it has the 17 inch, 5 lug, 5 spoke, aluminum wheels with low-pro Pirelli P6's.
My other car is a 2004 Monte Carlo SS. It is also the GM 5 lug pattern. It has the optional sport 16 inch, 5 spoke wheels. The diamond cut ones. It has a "normal" size tire on it. I don't know tires to well. But it's not low profile. Just OEM size spec Good Years.
Basically, what I'm asking is if I can swap out my Cobalt SS 17's with my Monte SS 16's. It'd only be for a weekend for a big car show. The All-GM Nationals at Carlisle, PA. I went last year and it was sweet. Anyway, I figure (if the lugs are exactly the same) that it should work becasue eventhough the rims have an inch size difference, the tires are smaller. So the actual rotation size should be the same. So the speed sensor shouldn't read any differently.
Am I correct? I'm just going off of a very slim know-how on wheels.
Thanks, y'all.
