SS/SC springs question

I bought some SS/SC springs from a member here on the site and was wondering, would I need to get an alignment after I install these springs? Any Input would be great.

Thanks...

Yes you will. Any time you change a suspention component you will need to have an alignment performed if for no better reason that to make sure your not going to destroy your tires.

sorry to resurrect a thread, but I'm going back to stock soon...how many miles can I safely drive before an alignment would be absolutely needed (before I start tearing up suspension and axles)? I'll mostly likely be getting them swapped in Salt Lake City, then I will be forced to drive it home to where I live (about 25mi) until I can get it into the dealership. I'll be going to stock height from an approx 2" drop in front and 2.5" drop in the rear, so I KNOW I'm going to need one eventually. But will it be save to drive for about a week while I wait until the dealer has an appointment slot open? When I dropped the car, their alignment was dead-on with the book specs, so I won't take it anywhere else.

I tried the search button, but didn't find much help with that. Thanks so much for your anticipated positive input!

a 2.2, I'm not sure--but I can find out for you!

here's the information i got from here for the 2.2--for some reason, the SS/SC drops a lot more, I am not sure why:

Sportline Springs puts it all together, Race-Car looks, sport handling and Eibach proven quality. Lowers vehicle approx. 1.7"front/1.7"rear Drop
As with Eibach's popular Pro-Kit, Sportline springs are designed by experienced suspension engineers and manufactured using the finest alloy spring wire available and under the same Eibach quality standards. Extreme performance, Race-Car Like Handling, Progressive Spring Design.

There is also a really good guide here: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ings+alignment

ss/sc springs drop it slightly, but not a very noticeable difference. my friend put some on his 2.2, but didn't notice much difference in handling or drop, so he ended up getting aftermarket.

Sure, just don't take any road trips. I specifically drove on mine back and forth to work for a week to give the springs some time to settle before I aligned it.
