215's on 8in wide?

Anyone think a 215/45/18 tire will fit on an 8in wide wheel? I bought my car two months ago and it came with brand new $190 a piece Toyo's so I don't want to get new tires just yet(nor can I afford them). But the wheels I want only come in 8in and 8.5in wide, and the add recommends 225's. Think my tires will work or find different wheels? Thanks!

I was looking into some wheels as well and the ones i looked at are 8" wide

i was told that my 225's will work on a 8" wheel but will looked "stretched" on the 8 inch wide. But i should go to a 245 cause it would look better visually.. but he did say they would work

so your 215 would probably look really stretched and i would probably think you should stick with a 7.5 at most

My tires are the stock size (215/45-18) and they are on my 18x8" wheels with no problems. Tire shop said they would look a little stretched, which they do, but they will work just fine. I haven't had any problems.
