North Pacific Dyno Day teaser

Well all, we just had our local dyno day. There were four SS/SC's, a turbo 2.4l SS, a 2.2l, a Sunfire with a 3.4l V6 engine swap, a Cavalier with a M62, a Mustang GT, and a Caprice with a 413ci. Hopefully everyone else will chime in with their numbers and whenever Tom gets everything he'll have the dyno graphs and video.

Running pig rich (went in the 9's AFR) and with a MAF that was freaking out, I put down 250 hp and 230 ft/lbs.

I'll be getting the Clear Image Tri-Y header hopefully tomorrow. Will be getting it dynoed again with that and a tune to smooth out the VE, raise the MAF freq, and lean it out about 2 points (to around 11.5 AFR).

Here are my numbers. My mods are ZZP 3" Catless DP, Magna-Flow Cat-Back Exhaust and K&N Typhoon CAI. I was impressed with the numbers.

Still no digital for me yet, but here is a pic of my paper copy.

Updated info: I'll be going back down to Drift Office on the 19th to get a full dyno tune by Vince from Trifecta Performance. I'll also have the Clear Image Tri-Y headers installed, so you guys will finally get some dyno numbers for those.

Any of you locals who want to come out are more than welcome. The fun starts at 3pm. Hopefully we'll get some pretty good numbers.

I am going to Monster Trucks that day or else I would show up also. I am anxious to see what the tune does to you car though and let me know how Vince does. If he does good work I might hit him up also.

I'll at least type out the results I get as soon as I get back. I'll try to get pics up as soon as possible after that.

Yea, he got pissed off at the automatic. Plus he got an 03 Mach 1 with manual for $1k more than what he got for his trade in. Come on, would you even have to think about it if going from an 03 GT to an 03 Mach 1 would only cost you a $1k more?

No, I mean including the cost of mods it only cost him $1k over.

Oh, and I got my Tri-Y's installed. The exhaust now has a warble note in it.

It is actually a little quieter at idle. Louder when reved up though. And yea, I noticed that the engine is a lot smoother from about 5k through redline and pulls harder.

Well, the corrected numbers for last week were 236/221 and the corrected numbers after the tune are 251/221. Also thats only reving up to 6.5k rpms, since I appear to be running out of fuel at that point. Looks like I'm going to have to go to a larger fuel pump.

What do you mean running out of fuel? Aren't you stage 2 with the 2.9"?

Yea, and your running out of fuel above about 6.4~6.5k too, looking at your dynos.

Do you have any HPT logs? Post them up I still don't understand what you mean. Just because its going lean at the end doesn't mean we are running out of fuel..

He put down 269whp and 293wft/lbs with it bone stock. Oh yea, and that is with SAE correction, not the uncorrected numbers you have.

lack of tuning skills with the lsj is one guess. pissed off 42's is another.

most of the time the 42's will **** above 6400

well my tune is the stock stage 2 tune, so i dont think my problem is related to that. haven't started messing with hp tuners yet, my wideband just got in today.

what causes the 42s to freak out above 6400?
