Anyone Have Powersteering Go Out?

Well the first time i take my 07 ss/sc out for more then 200 miles and i get a alert tone and no power steering. Im taking it to the dealer to diagnos it tomorrow but wondering if anyone else had this happen. It went out, then i pulled over to check fuses and if anything major happened. Nothing. Start the car again and its working again. After about 10 minutes of driving ot goes out again. And thats what it does now, goes out, then turn car off and start again its back on for a short time. I wasnt out auto crossing or anything, just highway driving. Any ideas

the reason i was debating is because i drove my friends 92 vw gli and my friends 84 vw rabbit, neither of which had power steering (the gli mighta had a tiny tiny bit of power steering but not much) and i loved the way it felt over the balt. u cood feel everything and felt like u were in control

thing is a car that doesnt come with power steering has a rack with a steering ratio designed for manual steering. power assist allows much quicker steering ratios without making parking lots a bitch.

my steering is already making a humming sounds when i turn at low speeds, did you happen to hear anything like that or have any signs of steering noise at all before it went out?
