Is there such a thing as a 2.4" pulley?

Hey guys, just wondering if there was such a thing as a 2.4" pulley...I heard someone talking about one and just wanted to check against this source. Don't want one, just want to know if it exists. Thanks.

Mike

Is said person saying it's on an Cobalt? Because if he is... he's deff. full-o-****!

The 2.5" is by FAR the lowest I have heard anyone going, and they are some of the highest modded cars that have been on this site... and have since been switched to turbo minus one of them!

Its been done, I think a company did some testing with the 2.3's and 2.4's but it didn't really turn out. Don't remember much more than that though

Yeah it was from ZZ Performance. They are listed under the Grand Prix section, but they share the same hub as the cobalt, so they interchange.

If you autocross the car a bunch, it can be beneficial as you aren't usually taking the car to redline but you benefit from spinning the blower fast without having to spin the engine as fast. However with a pulley change you class yourself with the modified big boys so most just keep it stock.

That makes sence... all the torque benefits without having to spin the blower as high....

interesting

a 2.8 at 7500 is at 16,061 rpms. {i think}
a 2.7 at 7500 is at a hair over 17k.

wowzers!

with the 2.35, you can limit the boost to 19-20 lbs, but the low end must be insane!

but even with the boost limited you are generating an insane amount of heat.

blower bearings are over rated anyway. been running my 2.5 since there was 400 miles on the car and that was close to 2 years ago. Not one hiccup either
