Water/Meth injection kits

Ok This might be a dumb question.

I have an 07 ss and all it has in an air box mod. I was just wondering if the water/meth injection kits would help a stocker or if it works better for a modded balt

it could help but not as much as it would on a modded cobalt, especially one that is tuned for the meth injection. i thnk someone else on here is stock and has meth injection, but i'd go with a less extreme route first like a smaller pulley and bigger injectors and a tune, which will produce more power and you won't have to keep filling a bottle

yeah that noob ralliartist has it on a stock car..... its so pointless to add a cooling mod to a stock car, when the cooling system is designed for that specific situation.

i made huge gains when i added it to my modded redline, it allowed for 30-40 degree lower intake temps and 7 more degrees of timing on 19 psi.

good times

gm stage 2 would be pointless, you need to TUNE the kit in, so a canned tune is jus ta waste of money.

ideally hp tuners, and all the parts, plus a day on the dyno with someone who has meth knowledge!

Canned tunes are not a waste of money. Some of them offer good starting points and for those of us who like our warrenty, the GM S2 tune is just fine.

I agree with you 100% that a custom tune is the best way to go about things, but for some people getting a canned tune like the GM S2 one is a wise choice.

If you run meth on a stock or stage 2 car without retuning your a/f will be super rich! The meth will richen the a/f by approx half point. The stage 2 and stock ss/sc cars run in the 10's a/f ratio so with the meth it would be a very low 10 maybe dip into th 9's a/f wise at WOT!

So unless you are retuning for the meth, save your money!

i was referring to using a canned tune with methanol. you cant tune a canned tune to operate properly with meth
