Seats

okay so i have a 2007 ss/sc with heated leather seats, now when i sit on it the SLITEST move i make they squeak like CRAZY! like when you sit on old couches and as if you hear that spring noise, now mind you i don't go jumping on my seats or put them threw ****, i just sit straight and drive, and my car only has 8k on it, im going in for a oil change Friday and what would you think they would do about this warranty wise? would they bother me about it?

NH

I had the same issue on my 07 not much you can do about it but I was able to warranty my support springs on the seat cushions and it minimized the noise but most of the noise i noticed is in cold weather and is the leather rubbing the plastic trim. take the side trim off and see if it goes away. hope this helps

I Think Its Because Of The Heated Seats Because I Have An '06 And They Don't Have Heated Seats
So Ask The Dealer Dude

The trim is held on by a couple trim screws. sometimes its even the seat cushion foam that makes the noise if your under factory warranty have the dealer check it out. So many people bring there cars in for this stuff all the time.

On my leather seats, they squeeked in the colder weather and it was caused from the plastic trim. What I did was buy some velour, or velvet in black, removed the trim and cut thin strips of material to glue around the edges of the trim. I now have zero squeeks ever!! And you can't even see the material. Works like a charm, just takes a little time but well worth it.

I'm driving a 2007 SS/SC with heated seats and have experienced the same squeeking noise you are describing, but mine started to occur at 10K. I like to drive with my seat reclined and I thought the squeak was coming from the apex of the seat (where the bottom and the back of the seat meet). Adjusting the recline level of the seat did nothing to get rid of the sound, however I found that getting out of the car and moving the actual seat back and forth seems to have distributed the grease a little better on the track that the seat slides in. My annoying squeak has disappeared. Good luck!
