Poly JRP Engine & Tranny Mounts

I hate wheel hop!!! Especially on our fwd rides! So what do you think about using the Poly JRP Engine & Tranny mounts? It does warn of noticably increased vibration....Could it be that bad? I have no experience with poly engine and tranny mounts. Only for suspension components in which i have been real pleased. Has anyone experienced Poly mounts on a car before? What about Tranny mounts?

poly engine and trans mounts, hmmm to answer your question

yes it will reduce wheel hop dramatically, and yes it will increase vibration dramatically. now depends on the way the cobalt was designed, maybe not, but so far in all cars i've drivin before and after there was alot of vibration, my cav has alot of vibration. but the vibration will be reduced after a few hundred mile breakin. is it worth it. expect a good 5+whp and 5wtq increase just from that. they are well worth it.

alot of things are worth it but when it comes to performance you must sacrifice luxury. and that luxury is comfort, and drivability.

I don't mind sacrificing a little comfort for more traction. just like springs with a high spring rate aren't as comfortable than say a stock spring rate. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't something people really recommend against due to drivability issues!

usually the endine mounts are not that bad when it coems to vibration, after a while it gets a lil better, ive heard the tranny mount makes alot of unwanted vibes.

So which of the three would eliminate the majority of wheel hop? The motor mount or transmission mounts?

honestly motor mounts will, i'd get the motor mounts, the trans mounts will help but it will help more in preventing you from miss shifting, makes the trans more sturdy and you have more of a solid feel when you are shifting. so i'd go either w/ motor mounts or go w/ torque dampeners. or both even. it will increase longevity of the engine and prevent bolts from losening. also if you have after market headers it will help prevent the flex pipe from breaking and bolts from losening as well.

What about doing the motor mount, the two tranny mounts, PLUS the torque brace. I bet there'd be no wheel hop whatsoever.

I drove a 1990 VW Jetta, lowered, with no interior before this. I gaurentee I could handle it, especially because I only drive about 2 miles round trip to work
