does anybody know of any places in NJ, could you run a cobalt on a dirt/mud rally style track or will it get stuck?

The club is called Motorsports NorthEast, they usually run on Sundays at Giants Stadium. This is their website. http://http://www.motorsportsne.com/I do plan on attending this season also. This years schedule in not posted as of yet.

You may want to check out http://www.autox4u.com for a regional schedule. The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) runs a good number of events at Englishtown and other venues in the tri-state area.

With that said, I can't wait for March 22nd!

One thing to keep in mind is that the speeds at most autocrosses are no higher than what you see in your everyday commute. It definitely is a test more of driver skill than the car.

I know that since I started autocrossing, I'm more conscious about car maintenance, perhaps a little excessive, but I never had a car fail on me at an event because of the driving.

There is still some room to register for this weekend, I ran this past Sunday for "Test and Tune", was you friend there? What car #? You need not worry about breaking anything, you'll slide around first!
