I just recently bought my 06 ss/sc, and on the Service report and stuff, it says I have Heat appointed leather seats. However, I can't find anything in the book, or in the car, relating to these "heated seats" are they automatic or something? If not, where the heck is the button?

If your car has it, the buttons will be left and right of the airbag sensor display. (between the radio and HVAC controls)

Yeah they have hook ups for them in the ss/sc modle the button if you have them is under the radion in the silver trim

Is it listed on the VIS as R9N as the code for the heated seats?

If so this is a common error in the VIS database, and virtually all Cobalts Ive seen have this code, and many list it as heated leather seats. It CAN be but in reality its just a seat "processing code" and not an actual equiptment code, Ive seen LS's that had that listed as an option. This is why the VIS says "GMVIS is not the definitive source of GM Vehicle RPO information and is intended for service reference only. Should there be any questions about the vehicle's original build or RPO information please refer to the original vehicle invoice or window sticker. " <<<<That.

 

Do you have the Recaro seats? If yes, you couldn't get them heated from the factory...

 

I think they are listed as standard on the SS/SC and if you get the G85 package the heated seats are a deleted option and replaced with the Recaros...

 

No, heated seats were an option just after the start of the 07 MY in SS SC. Unfortunately, mine was built at the very beginning of the 07 MY, i don't have heated seats.
