Well I have a new engine replacement on it's way to the dealer..

Friday night my car starting acting up.. I sounded very terrible and sounds like it was misfiring.. It smelt like coolant coming from my exhaust and throw my air vents in my car.. When I lifted the hood you could see that there was blow back of oil on the top of the engine.. So I just parked the car and then next morning (on the saturday) I put my OBD2 code reader on it got the code of PO301 which is misfiring in Cylinder 1.. So I left the car and didn't drive it at all because it was just running so bad it wasn't even funny... On Monday I had the car towed to Nurse and later in the day called me to say they think there is a hole in my piston and they will need to take the car apart.. Well they didn't get to work on it until Tuesday.. They called me to make it aware that when they take the engine apart if water got sucked up my air filter that GM would not warrenty the car's engine or anything work.. So I figured that is kind of stupid because GM was the one who put a filter in a wheel well.. Anywaz I just said go ahead with the work cause it needs to be done regardless.. Well today I get a call from the dealer saying the piston was melted to the block and that they arnt sure what happened or why it happened... They just told me that they will ordering me a new engine and it will be here tomorrow.. So almost 59,000 km on the car and I will have a brand new engine....

I place a call with GM head office to complain about the problems I have had with my car.. At 380km I had a new transmission installed... So I am getting annoyed with the problems so GM head office is going to see what they can do with my car.. If they will take it back from me and deal with it.. Let me get a new car or something.. We'll have to see how that goes..

 

Try and get us some engine tear-down pics. I assume you're in Canada, how close to WI are you?
