What would win?

This may be a stupid question but what do you think would be faster the SS/SC with S2 at 260hp, or the upcoming SS/TC at 260hp? Estimated times would help to i know the TC is said to be 14.1. Thanks!

The SS/SC, but not by much due ot the severe turbo lag of the LNF. I had a chance to drive the HHR SS and the saturn sky redline recently and the turbo lag is really bad.

I'm not one of those people that is going to trash the ss/TC. I welcome it's presence. I know that GM killed the LSJ for financial reasons. All I am saying is that having driven 2 cars with the same drivetrain, I know what I am feeling. I don't care what the car says it can do on paper. I am interested in what it does on the street.

Either way this thread is going to blow up into a 10,000 response thread about how superchargers are better than turbos and how turbos are better than superchargers.

Well i would say that but the reason i said ss/tc vs ss/sc s2 is because I'm deciding on whether i should think about getting the new ss/tc or get a s2 for my ss/sc because i am almost definite that the s2 is cheaper than trading in for a new car and i want to save money but still be fast. Unless they ss/tc is going to have a lot of benefits.

i dont think the turbo lag of that engine is thaaat bad... my mom cruises an 07 solstice gxp and i have a ball in it- my 2 best friends have 07 ss/scs and stock for stock the solstice beat it pretty bad- but i think itd be close in the quarter now that one has full exhaust/ stage 2... i know theres probably a weight difference yadda yadda im just throwin some actual knowledge out there

I'd have to say the SS/TC would win. It was already mentioned that the no-lift-shift would help out, but what about the final drive ratio? The SS/SC is 4.05 while the SS/TC is better at 3.87. The final drive alone is enough to offset the slight advantage the SS/SC would have the lack of lag due to the belt driven sc.

no lift shift isnt helping nothing, just ***** up stuff...its powershifting..everyone can do it on any kind of car that has a clutch and shifter,it just so happens that when u own a car with a turbo,to eleminate the "Loost boost between shifts"u have to powershift
