View Full Version : will new mods be worth it?
Sachemhockey44 02-04-2008, 05:34 PM hEY,i have an 07 black ss/sc with intake mod, gmpp sport catback exhaust and stage II, this summer i was thinking of doing the following mods... (keep in mind i have to try to keep this car warrantied so my mods have to be something i can take out or replace before i bring to dealership if i need warranty work) ok this is what i plan to do
nate's 2.9 pulley
header/downpipe
intake
sportlines
custom tune from paul (hopefully)
will i feel the difference in those mods and are they worth it?
JRelly 02-04-2008, 05:35 PM well worth it:twothumbs
Sachemhockey44 02-04-2008, 06:49 PM k lol i wasnt sure if id feel much a differnce with the 2.9, header/downpipe and intake, but i guess there will be lol thanks
o wait...i also forgot to add, i will be asking Paul to do a custom tune for me as well lol
right now i beat my friends 2000 mustang gt pretty bad i posted vids not too long ago, with those mods i listed this summer, does anyone kno what itd take for him to beat me from a 20 roll...thanks
yellowspeed5 02-04-2008, 06:58 PM I was hoping to get stage 2 kit and an intake in the near future. What would my 1/4 capability be?
an0malous 02-04-2008, 06:59 PM capability? mid 13s.
reality? probably low 14s.
JRelly 02-04-2008, 07:03 PM capability? mid 13s.
reality? probably low 14s.
exactly, cobalts are capable of pretty good numbers but our traction and cooling problems kill us:thumbsdow
an0malous 02-04-2008, 07:05 PM i did 13.6 with s2 only...cause im sooo balllin
a 13.6 at almost 108mph, with barely a 2.2 60ft seems very suspect for just stage 2.
not saying it didnt happen.....but those numbers are way off normal... WAYYY off
Coblt ss super 02-04-2008, 07:10 PM if u need help with any part installs where in new york are you located i can probabaly help ya out

Dayta 02-04-2008, 08:04 PM o hell yeah
Super_SS 02-04-2008, 08:08 PM agreed..unless he was running at low altitudes lol and had 100 kmph winds going with him :D :D
i had my friends 600hp evo push me after i shifted into 2nd gear..kinda helped me alot
Sachemhockey44 02-05-2008, 02:25 AM can i expect problems with these mods?
RedlineBrian 02-05-2008, 10:36 AM No problems with those mods. You need to come out to Ruby's and chill with the LI balts sometime.
EdCobaltSS 02-05-2008, 10:40 AM Definately Will Feel The Difference
Sachemhockey44 02-05-2008, 03:44 PM yea i prob will one day i got enough time, im gonna need to meet up with paul one day anyway after i finish all my mods...do u think i need to get an intake or should i just leave my airbox mod?
Sachemhockey44 02-07-2008, 04:39 PM hey, with these mods this summer what do you think it would take a 2000 mustang gt to beat me from a 40 roll?
LopsidedJester 02-07-2008, 04:47 PM 40 roll is the sweet spot for these cars, i think it would be pretty easy. If you are going to get a CAI, i recommend 3" even though they cost slightly more.
