BTW i have what they call a plus 1 size tire, 225/45-18 instead of 215/45-18. I lil bit wider but still works great.

Yea 215 are hard to find and more expensive then the 225. Thats pretty much why I went with the 225. Plus u get a lil bit more grip to the road. The hard part is going to get someone that will be willing to mount the tires for u. I went to 6 different tire shops before I found a place that would do it, and it was like $50 a tire to get them mounted.

I wouldnt see why they wouldnt do it as long as they have your concent...i would be like...ok if this guy really wants to mess his rims up then fine. but the wideness i think wouldnt matter...its just watching out for the walls of the tires when your pressure gets low....but take care of your tires then you wouldnt have anything to worry about

nevermind my question i didnt think before i comprehended what i read it was Khumo thanks powerz

Definately go with the 225 45 18's ! They rock! I got some falken 329's from Rob when he worked at discount tire. They come with a 30000 mile warrenty as well. They are an all season tire also.

The kuhmo SPT's are good, great traction and handling. Just a few things. When it is cold out, until they warm up, no traction. Also prone to flatspotting in cold weather. Would not try them in the snow, no way for the tread to clear out. And last, only expect about 18-20k miles, and that is with no autocross and maybe 3 burnouts where I got on it too quick.

And blk, how the hell dod you get those for that price? I just looked, and in that size its 720 just for the tires?

Damn you blk. Waiting on the gov. to give me my money back so i can get a new set of tread. Yes, I have worn out the SPTs (18k miles only 5-600 away) in 10 months just driving to work and back.

Needless to say, I am looking for some that will last longer.

DAYUM, I paid 35 for both mounted. I got the kuhmo ecsta spt's (225/40/r18), 90 bucks a piece. 201 bucks to my front door.

I have the kuhmo warranty book in my hands.

first 2/32 of tire (keep in mind your tire only has about 10/32) is completely covered, free of charge. After that, they give you a percentage of credit towards a new tire through a formula they have there in the book. Thats all over a period of 6 years.

the spt's SUCK ASS i wouldn't buy another set of them if they were $50/tire they are slick as **** and wear down fast. i wouldn't put those things back on a go cart. also have a set of the kumho ast's on my supra, did a 500+ foot long burnout on them the day i got em, and it took off about 1/2 the tread.... so much for a 400 treadware rating. they suck too, but i needed a cheap set fast so i went with them.
