2.4 Gauge Cluster... (140MPH)

I was thinking about buying a 140 MPH gauge cluster... so hopefully someone can do me a quick favor... Can someone with a SS/NA take a picture of their gauge cluster at night and lit up? Pretty please???? (or if someone can find a pic, that'll work too...I couldn't seem to find any)

bump... just one picture...that's all :P

It's the same selled as ebay I paid $30 to get the install kit but you can do without the install kit, you just need something to spray soapy water and something to smooth out the boubles.

Mine came with them too. At night, the white face becomes very dark grey / black and the numbers light up.

If there's no governor on the 2.2 sport i should be able to make it that far with nitrous

I need to put my car on jackstands one of these days, remove the tires and freewheel it up there and see if it does in fact cut out

the sports cut out at some where around 125-127.. i've had mine up that far a few times.. thats where the gov stops it at.. if you could remove the gov it would go even faster cuz thats at the top of third gear (i have an auto) and its almost ready to shift and keep goin at that point... to bad the only way to tune or change any of that is with a piggy or stand alone.. if hptuners ever comes availble for us then it would be possible with no problem..

I've had mine slightly past that and it was still EVER SO SLOWLY accelerating. I dunno how much higher it can go

yeah acceleration gets pretty slow after bout 105-110.. thats cuz the ecu starts cuutin the fuel back so it cant go real fast... really sucks cuz the 2.2 really has a lot of potential but cuz of the ecu bein so hard for companys to crack to make tunes for most of us are stuck not bein able to do a whole lot with the car.. and mine is an 06 LT that has the sports package..

from what im told the ecu starts to cut how much fuel that gets sent to the engine.. im not sure but i dont think it ever actually gets 100% when you press the throttle fully to the floor..

In that case the throttle body would have to start closing to keep the car from leaning out very badly, if the throttle body started closing, you'd definitely be able to hear it cutting

HAHA fckn awesome. That's what I thought they looked like. I love that glow look (and the 140...I know it's only appearance, but idk...i just want it haha).

I pretty much screwed up my gauges by putting white LEDs behind them. I gotta figure out a cheaper and more efficient way to do it. I figure I'll take my stock gauges and use them as a project for a while and just switch them out when I'm done... Hmm maybe I can switch the faces, too. IDK I just gotta take a lot more time next time....5 fried resistors make your car smell like **** for days... Condensing that down to a 2 hour project is a big no-no. I don't know how fast I'm going at night now, either!!
