Not to be mean, but if you are planning on putting those SS badges on like that thread you started, please don't insult the body kit. I can look up in past threads, but I believe the bumpers are near $280 a piece, no idea for the side skirts.

Sweet! you will have the SS spoiler, badges and body kit!!!!

and I remember when you said you didn't want people to think it was an ss.

Well as far as the pricing, I hope you know that you will need to buy 6 components: the SS front bumper, SS rear bumper, SS right side skirt, SS left side skirt, SS front lip, SS rear lip.

I doubt you will be able to touch all of that for under a grand. And then there is paint which will be around a grand for a decent paint job.

But honestly, you getting the SS seats too? How about the SS motor? Why didn't you just buy an SS???

Its his car, let him do what he wants with it. Hopefully he will not waste the money on that, but if he wants to thats on him. If your going to buy a body kit buy an aftermarket one, merc's right about why didnt you just buy an SS? Dont try to be like the SS try to do your own thing then no one can hate on you

maybe theres a slim chance hes doing it cuz he like the way it looks. I personally think the SS looks 100x's greater then any other cobalt style by far. The N/A ss is just as sweet looking too.

and to be honest if you guys didnt relize it I do ahve the front bumper and lip on my base cobalt. (crashed it and it was the same price so why not replace it with that ? ). But as far as putting the SS badges on it i dont like that one bit.

and people only know the SS from the spoiler not the body kit that it has. Well non-cobalt owners atleast.

not that it matters what any internet entities think, but let me humor you.

I didnt put the SS badges on my car, but if i would have its my car. If you disagree you sir are an idiot.

Second i want a Body kit for my car, Out of all the body kits ive seen i like the SS kit the best. Its simple, not to expensive yet gives the car the desired look i want it to have.

Third: My car will be T/c by the end of january (at latest). Then i will be blowing out SS( this statement is not a invitation for the SS owners to start a debate.)

Fourth: If you EVER see a post by me and you read it and you dont have the answer to my question or something constructive to add. SHUT THE F*CK UP.

thanks.

P.s. Thanks for the people who can just answer simple questions without criticizing.

ya the rims also are a little give away. i remember when this guy asked me if i was selling my stock rims. he had a civic so i take it under the impersonation that he didnt want my steely's and just told him it wasnt the SS.

I said I wouldent post on here anymore but I lied...FLCobalt I know how you feel bro with people hating. I do think tho you should wait and get a better body kit this way it wont look like the SS/SC. As far as mentioning T/C on this board its just going to start a war cus bottom line.... Extra uprgardes or not / better supspension or not ( Like that idiot said ) When these SS/Sc owners here the word Turbo/Charged they get defensive right away because they wish the SS came T/C like the Srt4.....Good Luck with the car bro

I'd highly suggest going with something that's NOT the SS body kit. Go for something different, something unique for a change instead of being hell bent on making your car look like the SS. You bought the car that you bought, make it something that's your own.

Oh gawd that's funny. I love how everyone assumes turbo is what everyone wants. Too bad we can get the best of both worlds now thanks to Hahn.

the best way to tell if it's an SS is by looking at teh breaks yeah since only the SS's have all disk breaks because you know some some SS owners have taken off their wing so you cant really judge by the wing cobalt owners or not and besides if you really want to tell just pull up next to one and then when it takes off listen for the whine

its not my fault the SS spoiler looks better then the LS spoiler. and its not my fault that the SS kit looks better ( in my opinion) then the other kits available atm.

SS are nice cars, very nice, but people on here act like they have a 745 . You have a Chevy. a 20,000 dollar Chevy.

I see you have a 2.4 so that means all you needed was the front lip, rear fascia, and spoiler (if i'm wrong, flame on!)...so if he has an LS that means it'll cost him more. He'd have to replace both fascias, the side skirt, and the spoiler. Plus paint and installation.

IMO it might be cheaper to wait for another kit. Maybe one that mounts to your stock fascias?

Okay your car will be turbocharged by the end of january... My SS/SC will have a pulley, and bigger fuel injectors: I will be putting out 15-16 lbs of boost so around 245-255whp.. How many lbs of boost will you be putting out? Also with all this money you are spending..... An SS/SC would have been a better purchase idea. That way you would have had everything you are buying already ( Spoiler, Body kit, High HP engine) but warrantied.

I had something constructive to add and critisized you, so do I still shut up?

I am not an *******, I understand that you are trying to modify your car to be different and your own, but buying OEM parts to change your car won't work too well in the area of being custom or original.

Also tell me if this looks stupid to you....

Just some food for thought.

But honestly and seriously as words of advice from me, Don't buy the SS kit. Not because I think it is stupid to make your car look like an ss, it is because OEM parts are expensive. Be the first to have one of the new body kits on your car. THAT would be cool. Also make sure you lower your car before you put rims on it. Good luck with whatever you do.

But then you would have to change the hubs or buy an adapter.

It's not a Kit... The SS is a Performance Package and Trim Level. It is not a Kit car.

Don't make it to be as such.

Do what you want...but as stated before, do something different, I had an 03' Sunfire and I did a full Streetfire kit, RkSport ram air hood, X-1 fenders, shaved stock spoiler, shaved stock antenna and door key cylinders. And that car was unique, lol....
