Exclamation Viper33884's Bosch 4+ 20,000 Mile Review

I bought these plugs when I had around 10,000 miles on my car, thinking they would inprove in many ways. Well how I was wrong, they worked good for a short amount of time then I had a small drop in fuel economy, then I started to get short missfires during idle. I am not going to haze Bosch in any way just trying to share my experiance with others and to let others know what this can do and why not to buy them.

I was finaly convincted after about a year that my idle problem was due to my $40 plugs I bought. So I finaly got some new plugs, Autolite XP Iridiums, after installing my new plugs I let the car warm up and took it to a back road, drove a little then stopped to see if the "Weird Idle..." would come back, did this for about an hour and smooth as silk, I also have the Ingalls ETD so I feel any idle inperfections throughout my car.

The gas mileage also went back up to around 26mpg and also no missfire around 20mpg WOT. The Bosch 2+ and 4+ plugs are some awesome plugs but on a stock ignition system they wont hold up. Any after market ingnition system booster such as MSD will make these plugs work as they are supposed to. So you can either take my advice and my experiance and go with another plug or try these out for yourself. Also you really don't need new plugs, the stock AC Delco's work fine, I had to learn the hard way, unless your supercharging, turbocharging, or adding nitrous to your car, keep your stock plugs.

This is all in my opinion so please feel free to say your thoughts and if you have any suggetions about what I said, if I'm wrong or right I'm grown and won't cry.

Out with the old, in with the new.

Sorry for the bad image, it was taken with my cell phone.

Don't really buy any platinum plugs unless you're just wanting them to last longer. Copper is a much better conductor than platinum (not sure about iridium). When I had my Mustang, all the forums generally agreed that the standard copper Autolite plugs worked the best.
