Anyone nearby with hp tuners
Yep, it Danny at JD Racing in Cap Pele NB. He does have HP Tuners, I am actually getting my car tuned by him in April. PM me and I will get you his #. Keep in mind that you will have to pay for the 2 credits from HP tuners for him to do this which is approx $100-120 CDN you are better to have him tweek the GM tune a bit for a little more money. If you want we can arrange to both go up in april and split the dyno/tuning time if you want?
What in specific do you want to know? You can change just about every parameter in the ecu, GM ECU programs are very conservative and more power can easily be made by tuning it with HP tuners. Plus Danny is the best tuner in Atlantic Canada with hundreds if not thousands of tunes under his belt, pretty much all of the most powerful sport compacts in this area have been tuned by him. I would highly recommend him, let me know if you are intersted
Sounds interesting... is this a one time tune? or do i have to tune it every so often?
sorry i dont know much about tunes! hehehe
And by tuning my car, can gm dealership notice this? like warranty wise, and by doing mantenance on the car, will this affect it.
Thanks

hey QuickSilverSS, I'm up for getting my car tuned by danny also. Is he the same Danny that ran the turbo civic and now turbo integra ?? I'll make the trip to N.B to get a decent tweak to the sage 2 tune ! Let me know what it would be for $$$. Aside from the $120 or so already mentioned.
P.s - You headin back to P.E.I this summer, or am i gonna have to trek over to meramachi to the strip to meet up at your local track this year ??

I would like to make it to Mirimichi this year for a few runs down the track, I would probaly head to PEI as well. How are you liking the stage 2? You should pick up a 2.9" pulley from Nate on this site, it will liven the stage 2 up even more.
He ownes the Orange 600+whp Integra and I think he also drives a White Civic with red rims at the track?? He has tuned tons of different makes of cars, has a in shop dyno, and all of the other equipment. My buddy had his car tuned by him and said nothing but excellent things, he is pretty well known around Atlantic canada for being able to pretty much tune anything. He will be able to get you some extra power out of our stage 2 tunes, and still be safe and reliable for daily driving. The credits to allow him just to access the ecu will be around 110-120 plus the time it takes to tune it. I am not having him change tons of parameters so I cant see it running over $250, including dyno time. I am having him clean up my a/f ratio, adjust timing so I dont get any knock (stage 2 will get lots of knock on 91 Octane the way it is set up now) If we got a few guys togather we could just pay by the day which would be much cheaper for everyone.

Ya I will keep everyone updated, I mean he would tune 1 stage 2 car and it would be pretty much the same for all of the other stage 2 cars, so it would be pretty simple. I think we should all try to meet up and do it, pay for a whole day and have a bunch of us go up. Mine will be slightly different tune becuase I have a methanol injection kit I am going to tune for.

Ya I am thinking that mid to lateb april is probaly when I will try to head up, who knows the way this winter has been maybe there will still be foot of snow on the ground. Either way its when the snow is gone, most likely mid -late april. Ya it would be nice to get a bunch of the maritime SS/Sc guys around for a dyno session as well.

I am lovin the stage 2 kit alot. I cant beleive how much harder the car pulls. It feels like a whole different beast. I dont think i can handle any more power !!

I have been thinking about a 2.9 pulley. We'll see. For sure keep me up to date on the tune meet. Im up for that !!
I also found that the catback made the stage 2 feel stronger in the midrange and top end a bit. I recommend the GMPP, sounds great! You could pick up both for under $600 (2.9, and catback)
