Cobra H/E line question

Im lookn at a cobra h/e and am just wanting to verify whether or not i need the stock cobra h/e line or if i just need the h/e and can get my own lines cheaper. Also, ive seen a cobra h/e on here that had SS painted on the front color matched victory red to go with the color of the car. If anyone knows the thread this pic is in or if anyone has a pic of a cobra h/e painted at all, can u post the thread link or pic in here please?
Thanks

dude, to tell you the honest truth, I bought mine for 100 bucks. But I just recently upgraded to a ebay one, I know, how is that an upgrade? well here is the one I bought. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB....cWON.m313.lVI
50 more bucks but it's brand new and looks a hell of a lot better than the cobra ones AND it's already got brackets made on it and the nipples are already faced in the right direction, AND it's slightly larger than the cobra. You decide.

I went to menards and bought some 3/4" heater hose to use for my lines.

Hmm, that one looks pretty good but is it really that much more of a difference in how it performs? Im planning on spray painting SS on the cobra one to make it look better so im not worried about the looks of it really. So u could actually feel a difference between the two? Is it worth it to upgrade to the ebay one?

I haven't got the ebay one on yet. I say upgrade cause it's much nicer and it's BRAND NEW. Plus the design of it makes it SOOOOO much easier to install. and only 50 bucks more! It's dirt cheap for a brand new Front Mount H/E. I think it'll probably perform the same. I want this one though mainly becaues I feel like I'm treating my car to a treat ya know? Kind of like getting braces, and then when you take them off, your Grill looks so GREAT! That's kind of what I'm doing with the 'balt.

haha yea. Ill think about the ebay one. R u sure fitment won't be an issue? Ive heard the cobra is a tight fit and if this one is a little thicker, it might not fit too good. Also keep in mind the ones im lookn to buy r brand new too.

The cobra is tight, but there is a little room, but not much!

It may, don't really know haven't seen it or anyone with it! If the connections are in a different place than it might fit fine.... but if not who knows!

no, the cobra barely fits cause the nipples face back towards the radiator, giving you a small space to fit the hoses and lines. But this ebay one is thicker and the nipples are on the side, hence why I say it makes it SO MUCH EASIER to mount AND, it already has brackets welded on it. So you don't have to custom make brackets.

Well it's your front support from a crash... you make up your mind! Is that worth no real gain in performance!

see, 40 bucks for the brackets. You can just buy the ebay one for 10 more bucks and have the brackets already welded to it. It is gonna be SO much easier to install than the cobra, AND it is gonna look way sexier. I'll be bling blinging with my bright ass front mount. I'll bet I get asked if I'm turbo.

Well not really! Most of us around these parts including me and Area47, and this bracket dood got ours for $20 bucks each! So I have spent well $20 dollars for my H/E and brackets (he gave me his first set free)... But $60.00 or so for a front mount H/E!
