For those of you with a header/downpipe combo

I'm looking to pair a ZZP mid tube header with a catless dp soon to my gmpp sport catback. are performance gains noticeable? other than an orgasmic sound...what else should i expect when it's all installed?

haha he's right, there is that. The gains are noticeable but in my experience, I also got a much smoother ride...the power band seems to be "adjusted" also....higher up in the rpm's the car pulls and screams like a .50 *****.

You will notice a nice change in power from 4k on up. The car pulls alot better with the header and DP.

And make sure to buy better hardware, dont use the junk they give you. Go 1/2" grade 8.

the bolts/washers they give you are crap. 2 sizes to small for the holes, washers are aluminum.

Go to your hardware store, get 1/2" grade 8 bolts, washers and nuts.

alright...that sounds good. do you have to reuse the stock header gasket? it says it comes with dp gaskets. i guess i just want to know if i'm going to have everything i need out of the box (other than the better hardware) or if i'm going to have to order other stuff.

You can reused the header gasket, yeah. And it comes with the gasket for the downpipe to header and catback to downpipe.

All you should need is the newer hardware.

my cyl airmass went from around 0.86-0.90, up to 1.08-1.12 just from the addition of the ZZP combo and tuning for it.

the gains are quite good. im very happy with it

you might encounter the negative eleventy billion hp if your stock dp blows up, so when you put in the zzp combo you could see a huge jump from -eleventy billion to +eleventy billion. stranger things have happened.

Great! Sounds like i'll be making a good choice for the time being. Now all i need to do is sell all my paintball gear from when i played for the University of Illinois and then i can buy my header/dp.
