At low speeds and oftern at startup I hear a scraping noise coming from somewhere outside of my cabin. I thought it was an exhaust leak and that my gaskets went bad (Never changed them) but my friend heard it last weekend and he said it could likely be the rotors. I already inspected the underbody there definetly isn't anything scraping. Could the rotors make that kind of noise? You know where else I hear it alot? When I'm in NYC and I'm doing alot of stop and go driving.

well, this may sound silly, but did you check the rotors?

Maybe hub bearings at low speeds but not really at startup. Do you have an auto or manual? Might be something with the clutch?

Do you here this after you let the car sit for a couple of days ? The rotors could rust up quite a bit. And they would make noise from the pads cleaning them off.

Yep, If the rotors are wet when it's parked or get wet overnight they will make a scrapping noise until the pads clean the rust off the rotors. Either that or your pads are shot and on the wear bars.
