Bleeding brakes, why can't I figure this out??

So I replaced my pads on Tuesday with another member on here and at the same time wanted to flush the brake fluid and get new clean fluid in there because it was pretty bad.

So we did the flush and bled the brakes like I have done on lots of other cars, but now the pedal is really really soft like there is air in the lines. So last night came home and bled them myself with a one-man bleeder kit, today feels about the same.

So tonight I tried bleeding it again, this time with a person manning the brakes and doing it 2 person style, still same soft pedal.

Doing it right rear, left rear, right front, left front, in that order. Topped fluid off before each wheel... Opening the bleed valve only about 1/4 turn. There is no air in the lines as far as I can tell, everything seems normal.

I am about to rip my hair out, am I missing something here???

Im not a brake guy but when the engine is off try pumping the brake to put pressure on the line. maybe that'll put it in place.
