Bought a project car.

It's a 1993 Grand Am GT with a Quad 4 HO 5-speed. Extremely rare car, the guy didn't know what he had and it's got very little wrong with it. Engine runs great, body is great for a 93, just needs some paint work on the roof and a new exhaust (going bigger anyways). Got it for $1200. Check it out:

for now, just simple stuff. intake, header, exhaust, weight redux a bit. if anything goes wrong internally, which is bound to happen eventually, the engines gettin ripped out and built up right. the car is WAY quicker than anybody would expect out of a Grand Am. it's capable of low 15s stock.

they aren't as bad as most people think. the quad sohc blew heads every 50k. dohc engines are a whole different story. they aren't great, but not as bad as most people think.

Very nice ride. I always thought the early 90's grand am's were a great little car. I think you should boost it!

I actually have a whole donor engine, but if you have anything aftermarket or custom that would be cool. Thanks for the offer!

Well I have a 2.4 block if you want to go hybrid and a set of Mahle rods. You sure you don't want the head, they are getting harder and harder to find? I don't have much for the 2.3 HO bottom end, because I only use the HO upper and a 2.4 bottom end. I blew a rod(stock) running to much boost,10.5:1 compression, and a faulty haltec comp. I was planning to rebuild with the new rods and new haltec but lost interest and wanted to get drunk and laid all the time(college).

if you'll let it go cheap, I might scrape it up. never hurts to have a spare.

Nice car. I've always had a thing for 92-95 grand ams.. i also had a 95 bonneville, which.. from 92-95, i think pontiac had some of the nicest looking cars from that time period.

IMO That GA looks like it's in damn nice shape. Throw some nice tips on there and call it a day for the exterior (unless there's stuff wrong we can't see in pics.)
