Looking for anyone who knows a good spot to stay in Manhattan without breaking the bank.

Will be staying a Wednesday through Sunday in a hotel, would like it to be as close as possible to all the fun stuff/touristy stuff. Trying to not break the bank, best location/price combo I have found is about $230 a night in midtown.

Don't really want to stay in a shady part of town or in a hostel.

This my first trip to NYC since i was 5 so I need help!!
